Blessed Mogg's Mother, bring down my heart rate. I said I liked explosions-are-many action films, and this one redlined the meter. It was more like explosions-are-nonstop.
I went expecting nothing but a good ride, and I this movie doesn't disappoint. The only problem these days is that the previews pretty much give everything away. Still, there was a message of sorts in addition to the constant action which wasn't obvious from the start.
Bale was what Bale is. In some ways, he's kind of like Kevin Costner - he's great in a movie where he can play Christian Bale. This one was a good fit.
A good popcorn movie with good effects, but not a lot of lasting, take-away value.
