"Avatar" hits 1 Gigadollar

Since it's opening 17 days ago, Avatar has grossed 1 billion dollars worldwide. Seventeen days.

According to CNN, Dark Knight took almost its entire theatrical run to do that.

I guess that shuts the hqiz out of any mealy-mouthed reviewer that didn't like the film.

And, that pretty much guarantees the next sequel. Booyah!

For my friends who work Retail

Dan Piraro seems to have hit a slump. Lately, Bizarro hasn't been as funny as it has in years past. But today's strip got a Yukyuk out of me, and I suspect my Retail-based F-List will have the same reaction.

Bizarro

Writer's Block: Toy story

[Error: unknown template qotd]
That is a difficult one. Probably an old Gilbert chemistry set that I had... alcohol lamp, sample of uranium, little Geiger counter, lots of toxic and flammable chemicals, real glass Erlenmeyer flasks & test tubes on which I was duly burned and didn't sue anyone - it's hard to find a decent Chem kit nowadays. The lawyers have hqiz'd that up for all of us, I'm afraid.

Just imagine... what you'll know tomorrow.

50 things we know now that we didn't know last year.

Cool article. My oldest whelp pointed me to this one.

"22. Bagheera kiplingi, a jumping arachnid from Central America, is the first known vegetarian spider. It eats nectar-filled leaf tips rather than other animals."

Who knew?

Welcome to Salt Lake Airport. BOHICA.

Saw this picture on my local news site in an article about increased security.
The caption sorta wrote itself.
