Be quick about it!

Today - by the calendar, anyway - I should qualify to begin teaching from home. The bureaucratic wheels grind slowly, however, and I'm not sure when I'll get the official word that I've been qualified as a "blue belt" and be able to dump the morning commute and score a couple of extra hours of sleep. It can't happen fast enough to suit me.

Pray with me, brethren and cistern, that this happens sooner than later!

Tell Benedict my wife should be made a saint

Came home this morning from my early shift and found my angel wife cleaning up after my senescent mother (age 94) who had had a horrible accident all over the carpet in her room. Nothing I can do would be adequate compensation. But I'll do my best to make the trouble worth her while.

A second chance

By now, we've all heard about him. The amazing Ted Williams, a homeless man with the smooth-as-honey voice who has gotten a second chance at life.

(The below video is one of the few that does not have embedding disabled and it includes an interesting clip from an interview with Williams' mom.)

Addictions are hard things to beat. He says he's clean... from his mouth to God's ears. This much fame and attention coming at him all at once will take a powerful amount of stability to handle in a positive way.

Here's an interview on the Today show:

May God bless this man to use this opportunity to the fullest.
