Census: Day 1

ToniAnne went out enumerating this morning, then came back for lunch and I dropped her and her daughter off at a movie (they saw "Just Wright"). I returned to the cave and hung cabinet doors for a while, and then brought the girls home. Thereafter, I went out and went hunting for a family that had been passed to me by my supervisor because the area was really dicey and she didn't want another young lady out there alone. I found the family living, not in a "van" down by the "river", but rather in a "trailer", way out in the "sticks". Almost needed a 4x4 to get out there...

Conducted the interview in Spanish, and found them to be delightful people. Met with my supervisor way, way up in Timberville, met some other crew members, and drove back home. Fixed a faucet and called it a night. Got a ripped copy of "High Road to China" in the mail today that I had bought on eBay, and look forward to seeing that - haven't seen it since it came out, and I recall enjoying it. I like Tom Selleck.

Going to watch something tonight with my dear heart - she has a bit of an earache, so we'll watch something she's already seen this evening, and save my new movie for later when she feels better.

Called my mom and found her in good spirits, but she's been having some emotional outbursts lately that they are concerned about at her residence, and we've got someone staying with her in the evenings to monitor her behavior. Doctor is trying to figure out what's going on to make this come upon her so suddenly. I wonder if she had a micro-stroke that's affected her limbic system... usually the emotional stuff comes on much more gradually in Alzheimer's cases, but each person is different.
