For my biker friends.

Lookin' at you, [livejournal.com profile] makovette. This cracked me up, especially the ending.

[Edit: Hqiz, I hate it when they disable embedding. Makes no sense at all.]

Disclaimer: For what it's worth, I don't think this kind of satire shows disrespect to the victims of the Nazi horror in the slightest. Hitler and his cronies have been reduced by the weight of history to despicable caricatures of themselves, which is only right. This is one of the best Downfall parodies I've seen.

In reference to your disclaimer; I don't have a problem with it as a show of disrespect to the victims of the holocaust. These scenes are about Hitler as commander in chief of the German Army, not as perpetrator of the Nazi genocide. The reason I find them distasteful is, for starters, they don't even try to cover up the German or replace it with the correct text, and second, this is one of the most powerful scenes in the movie because it demonstrates how desperately insane Hitler has become, and the depth of his failure as a leader, in contrast to the willfully blind obedience of some of his men and the impotence of those who chose not to be blind. Reducing it to parodies like this cheapen the historicity of the event.

I have two minor problems with DF parodies: They're overdone, and they often have Hitler voicing an opinion shared by the majority of viewers.
