The 'Tempting Fate' meme

1. Make an LJ-cut post with "DO NOT READ" as the text.
2. Do not select a 'mood' for this post.
3. If anyone clicks the cut, they are to comment and admit to doing so.
4. Anyone who reads this also has to do the same in THEIR journal, thus continuing the never-ending madness.

Comment: There used to be a doughnut shop very popular with cops in my town - I'm serious - and on the back wall was YCHJCYAQFTJB. Which stands for "Your curiosity has just cost you a quarter for the juke box." Most people paid up...

As this is by participation only, I can NOT to comment on this, right?

So, I've chosen not to... drat.

Tell a man there are a hundred billion stars in the sky, and he will believe you without even looking up.
Hang a sign that says "Wet Paint" (or do not read) and he just has to touch....

The inherent flaw in "DO NOT READ" is that, if it truly wasn't meant to be read at all, under any curcumstances, then what the heck is it doing posted on the internet (albeit in an apparently "friends-locked" entry) in the first place? ...Unless it's meant to be a dare! The text might as well have been "I dare you to read this!"

(I'm hoping to eventually find a LJ post somewhere that says "I'll pay you $50 to read this!")

Were you there in 2004 when I shouted "What could possibly go wrong?" three times in a row and the person next to me dropped his sandwich? Sometimes it's fun to "tempt fate"!
