This gorgeous volume, the first official 9 Chickweed Lane book (unless you count Hallmarks of Felinity) is now mine. It's surely the tenderest war story I've ever read, and in breathtaking graphic novel format. The illustrations are stunningly crisp,and the extras Brooke inserted are beautiful. It made me cry all over again - I had to hold it at arm's length to keep from staining the pages (ToniAnne would not easily forgive me for soiling it.)
