Writer's Block: Back from the dead

My picture of what happens after this life is clear enough that I don't need the demo version. I could use that extra day down here trying to offset the follies and weaknesses of the flesh by making the world a better place. Time enough to see what death's like when I'm dead and gone. By then there's no turning back.

Well, it would clear up some of my doubts, probably for the better. If I visited heaven for a full day, my earthly life could become a letdown, but at least I'd know I was on the right track. If I visited hell, it'd be traumatic, but at least I'd be all the more motivated toward faith and goodness. If I visited purgatory... I'm not sure what would change. And if it turned out to be clearly none of those, I'd look into another religion accordingly.

Of course, whatever I found, I'd have to be careful about concealing or revealing my knowledge to others. Few would believe it, and it'd be hard not to act kind of arrogant.
