Along with getting some things done around the house, yesterday was just delightful on many levels. At noon, ToniAnne's mom took us out to L'Italia, a wonderful Italian joint here in Harrisonburg. Each of us ordered two entrees so we'd have good stuff to take home - I reveled in pasta al pesto and a peppadew goat cheese salad that were divine. For dessert, there was one of the lightest tiramisus I have ever tasted, as well as these little chocolate landmines that were packed with decadence.

I would certainly eat there again - and the prices were quite reasonable for the quality we experienced.

In the evening I helped ToniAnne take dinner to a ward member whose husband had had heart surgery, and after visiting we meandered around the countryside for a while, heading gracefully for Staunton, where we took in Alice in Wonderland. It was fun even in 2D - ToniAnne had never seen it, and I enjoyed seeing it again.

After the movie we wandered around downtown Staunton, and decided we wanted to come back of an afternoon when all the wonderful little shops were open. The night was balmy - about 72 degrees - and it was a lovely way to spend some time. There's an ice cream parlor there that seemed like a really popular place. Next time we go back I'm going to stop in for a treat...
