4th of July Picnic

Somewhere in the wilds of Virginia, my own self, my wife and her daughter Katie, and a visiting Tiger from Germany had a luncheon that would have sated a regiment.
No pictures of the food - it got eaten too fast! Hoagies with roast beef, ham, turkey, 3 different kinds of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, peppers, sauces, oils... you get the picture.

Tiger_T and Katie explore the riverbed. It's usually about 3 feet deeper than this. Please send Virginia some rain!

Katie does her "Little Mermaid" imitation.

Don't go in the water... there are unspeakable monsters down there!

Wooden bridge

And the old wheezers sit in the shade...
From yesterday's adventures:

The Old Wolf and Tiger_T from Mole Hill's outlook (a 42-million-year-old volcano remnant. You could truly say that's making a Mole Hill out of a mountain...)

Tiger_T visits with ToniAnne
Also went downtown last night for Harrisonburg's 4th of July festivities, saw some pretty good fireworks on courthouse square, then wandered around downtown for a while people-watching. I love holidays!
A delightful day! More to come... tonight's agenda calls for grilling flesh on the barbecue, and s'mores!
