This is what you see when you enter ShopKo on the evening of December 24th.

This is the note I sent to ShopKo customer service, along with the above image:

This is what greeted me as I entered the ShopKo in Provo, Utah on Christmas Eve. Yes, yes, I know you have a bottom line to look after, but couldn't you at least wait until the 26th out of respect for the holiday? Thermonuclear "Sheesh"! Merry Christmas.

Almost I am moved to blaspheme.

WHOA! That's WAY to early.... We won't put that out until at least SUNDAY! Our Christmas stuff was out when I left at 4 and will stay out until Sunday or Monday.

It's like that at Target, too. My friend had to set it up. he said that customers were alternatively making him pose for pictures and threatening him. The same day, corporate visited the store and he may or may not have told them off in front of all of his bosses.

Well, that's one thing they do right. Here in Payson, the Christmas stuff is being gathered into a small area, but at least it's still out!

I'd like to hope he did...

I imagine the Christmas stuff will still be out until Monday given that the "Seasonal" department head will be off until Monday.

Ours was still actually where it should have been back by The Garden Center.

How about the 22nd?

My brother works in a dollar store, and they started receiving Valentine's Day stuff on Monday, and started putting it out on Wednesday...

Way too early! That's almost as bad as the Christmas stuff being set out in summer!

To be fair, these things aren't holiday-specific. You may find some demand for them any time of the year. Just not enough to vindicate that much on display.

After seeing this post, I was impressed that the local King Soopers still has the Christmas stuff (half-off) in their seasonal department as of this evening.

(I always go grocery shopping on Boxing Day. They're not very busy.) ;-)

So? I bought Hot Cross Buns in Tesco last month and Cadbury's Creme Eggs (eurgh) are everywhere.
