You know... It's just a suggestion... but... well... there's the spam/trash folder...

Where's the sport in that??

I expect each and every one of these things have a new "addy" so merely classifying each as Spam won't work.

I can think of far more productive uses of time... 9_9.

Works well enough for me. As I pointed out in a previous LJ post, I don't receive the types of offers that Old Wolf does, so something I'm doing (or not doing) is having an effect.

My Yahoo mail only receives spam in the inbox only once every few months, the rest gets raked into the spam folder and recycled into electrons after 30 days. When a spam message does manage to slip through the filter I press the "spam" button and Yahoo's filter adapts.

Work is much the same - the company has a security firewall that captures spam.

I've been marking a certain purveyor of kitchenware and cutlery as Spam every time and he still gets to my Inbox, my Spam box is pristine.

If it's from the same source each time and has the same or similar lettering then your spam engine isn't doing a very good job. Who is your E-mail provider?

TalkTalk.

Pile o' crud. Notable for being difficult to get hold of electronically and damn impossible any other way.

They keep asking me to let them control my landline and TV as well ooo super deal but when the provider is only notable for not accepting or actioning cancellations - well -
every time they phone me - usually asian voice almost certainly from an asian call centre - I give 'em a good half hour gripe.
Know what? It's easier to get rid of a Jehovahs Witness than get a TalkTalk operator to ring off. And even then they promise to call again....

Bugger mid day calls.

It's easier to get rid of a Jehovas Witness? Could you take out a contract on Mr Slander for me? :D

They're irritating because of their inherent stupidity and criminal intent, but I like getting them - it gives me a chance to hurl volcanic insults at them, as well as continue the crusade to make people aware that the immoral degenerates are still out there. If nobody fell for their scams, they would stop. It can only mean that there are people out there who - inconceivably - believe these lies.

Yeah, I thought so... 9_9.

(I never did get used to the idea of that character having *my* name).

Not sure it's good for the soul Old Wolf...

Very good for the soul. Every second of their time I waste costs them money, and is time they can't spend on finding real suckers.

How do you know it *is* costing them time and money? Do you know for sure that they're reading your messages? It's not like they're a legitimate firm with responsibile guidelines and any care for their "customers."

Once I hook one, they respond again. I keep them on the hook as long as I can. There are masters at this, scambaiters.com has endless examples.

All best,

I disagree with her economics, but I doubt she'd arrange that.
