Did you ever...

... while eating, bite your lip hard, and then have it swell up, and despite your best intentions and carefulness, you nail the bump again and again, and by the fourth or fifth time the tears come and you uncork a barrage of obscenity that blisters the paint on your walls and sends the dog scurrying for cover under the bed?

Just wondering...

OUCH!

I've come down squarely on my tongue hard enough that I couldn't use it for several minutes until the pain died down.

The cussin' is relieving to the feelings, though.

Ever? Time and again. :(

Oh, good. (Not good that you've suffered, but I feel like less of a total freak!) Image

I'm more likely to do that to the wall of my cheek.

Bonjela. Tastes delicious, soothes and lubricates flesh against the offending tooth.

Hm. We can't get that over here, but from what I've seen, Num-Zit is about the same thing. It's a teething gel - never thought of trying that while it's healing up. Thanks for the tip!

I did that regularly right after I got my teeth fixed--since my teeth were no longer quite where I was expecting them to be, I nailed everything.

At school.

The cussing had to be internal. X(

I've never had to have my teeth fixed, but I know they're floating as I get older. That may be part of it, even though the drift is very slow.
