Such a schande! Eat! Eat!

theoldwolfWell, I don't have a yiddische mama, but I got thinking about the old days in New York, and a dear friend and sometime surrogate father who on occasion took me to the Tip Toe Inn, where you could get the most amazing hot pastrami sandwiches and potato pancakes.
Sadly, the restaurant is no longer there... but latkes aren't hard to make, and I had some potatoes in my fridge waiting to be used, and an onion, so I whipped myself up some for supper tonite, and was well-rewarded for my efforts. They brought back very fond memories, they did.
