At the feet of the master

I made the trek to Ogden, Utah today, to attend the Hof German Winterfest, where a dear friend of mine was performing.

Kerry and I served in the Austrian mission field together, but because he travels so much I rarely get to see him. Today was an absolute treat. 15 years ago or thereabouts, bought his "U2 Can Yodel" CD Course and spent years stretching my vocal cords and making myself hoarse as I drove to and from work. I've gotten to be a respectable Jodler - although not even worthy to tote the master's Alphorn. But it's been a fun ride.

I'll add a couple of other files in a bit, when I get them cleaned up.

I watched segments on that fest on the news. Looked like quite a party!

And one of the first things I thought was, "I'll bet DeSantis went to that!"

Pity I didn't know about it far enough in advance to plan around it, otherwise I would've considered going there too, even if just as an excuse to actually get out of the house for the first time this year!
