Spider Robinson has a theory: everyone is an a$$hole. At some time in their life, some other than others, everyone who has ever existed was or is an a$$hole (he gives examples, including some of his own heroes). We all could name people who are there 24x7. but that's besides the point. The tension in life comes from trying to pretend that you are not now and never have been an a$$shole.
SO, instead of trying to be perfect, accept that you're an a$$hole like everyone else, and try to at least be an a$$hole with class.
