♬ We get up at twelve and start to work at one,
Take an hour for lunch and then at two we're done!
Jolly good fun! ♬

♬ Ha Ha Ha, Ho Ho Ho and a couple of tra la la's.
That's how we laugh the day away in the Merry Ole Land of Oz! ♬

Well, all I can say is, if I get down there and find out that's not how it is, I'm gonna be powerful disappointed. I've been looking all my life for a job like that...

Itinerary:
LAX to SYD
Delta Air Lines Flight 17
Arrive: Fri, Jan 8, 2010, 08:40 AM

SYD to LAX
Depart: 11:25 AM, Wed, Jan 27, 2010
Northwest Airlines Flight 9306

So the die is cast, and there's no turning back. Now all I have to do is arrange transportation to LAX from SLC and back, and put together the scratch to hold body and soul together while I'm down under. Oh, and petrol. Or propane, or whatever the Wolfmobile drinks.

For those of you who worry about my being able to deal with the heat and humidity, come to Salt Lake and spend a winter here... It's not like what [livejournal.com profile] alaskawolf has to put up with, but we get plenty ice and snow and arctic blasts. So believe me, by January I'll be ready for a change.

You know, TWoO is back in theaters for its 70th anniversary. Too bad I remember it well enough not to see again.

You *are* planning to get away from the coast and its big cities, yes?

Arrive 8 January. Drive to Brisbane, need to be there 12th-17th. Probably spend a couple of days in the area with various friends. Start wandering back down around the 20th. Actual time of arrival in Dubbo TBA, because I'm playing it by ear. Send me your contact info to ccdesan [at] gmail [dot] com and I'll be able to coordinate with you once I finish the teen camp on Sunday. Cheers.

Honestly, mate - the weather doesn't scare me at all. But if I should encounter a Huntsman spider, I shall surely die...

A Huntsman spider? They're nothing. More of a nuisance than anything, especialy in winter when they slip inside cars to keep warm. They look intimidating but I've chased plenty of them away with a broom.

You're not thinking of the funnel web spiders are you? Now those are deadly.

One man's "nothing" is another man's "holy flapping scrith get it away!" I tend to scream like a little girl if I find a harvestman on me, so these big ones would probably stop my heart. Brr!
