You can take that to the bank. There are all sorts of questions raised in there - and a lot of people who care are still debating them today. Very germane for me at this point.

The animal class is good, and quite didactic. However, the father in the other one needs to have his head examined. With the blunt end of a two-by-four. With long nails sticking out of it.

He's deliberately throwing the conversation off topic in order to protest what he thinks is an unjust situation for the wrong reasons. The child was playing games on a school computer. In other words, he was not doing what he was supposed to in class. School computers are there for research, developing essays, gathering and sharing class-related information, and learning technical skills. Playing games does not fall into those categories. Also, playing games means he is not completing the assigned tasks. My school districts have confusing and contradictory homework policies which state (1) students must have homework to reinforce what they learned in school, and (2) don't bother assinging homework because students won't do it anyway and you'll only hurt their grades. Well, I can definately say that students do their homework. I give them an assignment in history class, and they instead do their spanish homework which is due next period, because they were too busy playing WoW last night. Or instead of doing their work, they bring a game in on a flash drive and play that on the computer instead. When will students have time to learn, while their parents refuse to reinforce the educational process (as this parent is doing) and they bring games to school and play them instead of doing their classwork?

If you visit his website you'll see he is a serial prankster with very little regard. This was no protest at all, just an opportunity to be a smartarse lol

Even worse. He's causing interruptions to the educational process, and created a precedence for this school to break its rules that might have watershed effects, all in the name of making people laugh. That's very unfortunate.

Maybe. More likely it is an example of common sense being pried out from between the boards of institution, even if petty sarcasm is the lever.

Even more likely is every article on his site is fake. :-)
