Ah, one of my favorite literary one-hit wonders.

He was also one of those famous people whose claim to fame was so long ago that when I thought about him, I wondered how much longer he'd be alive. One less thing to wonder.

Never knew much about him in those days. Not like today, where if anybody famous scratches their butt, there's a thousand tweets about it. Still, he sounds so much like most of these tortured geniuses, straddling the fine line between genius and insanity.
