Mum's home, and very happy to be there. Last night was hard on her, being totally loopy from the anesthesia, but by the time we got her back to her apartment today she was alert and awake, if tired and a bit shaky on her feet. I went to the apothecary to get her some Tylenol - she has Lortab but it tends to increase the confusion and I want to save that for real exigency - and by the time I got back she had fixed her hair, cleaned herself up, changed her clothes, and tidied up her living room - so she's at least able to take care of herself. I made her eat some applesauce and prune juice and brought her a few other things for her fridge that she can eat.
The residence has promised to bring her meals up to her and provide her with anything she needs, and a home healthcare nurse will stop by twice a day for the first week to do wound care. I'm hoping she gets a positive outcome when all is said and done.
