The S. Pellegrino list of the top 50 restaurants in the world has been released.
And hqiz, I haven't eaten at a single one of them. Probably couldn't afford to.
The List
On the other hand, I have my own list of favorites. Decidedly less highbrow, but good, good eating. Here's the top 11. (I added one more since I originally posted this, and please note that with the exception of my No. 1, they are not in order.)

Date: 2010-04-28 07:57 pm (UTC)Not surprised to see a lot of French (or France-evoking) names. Alas, French cuisine never stood out to me, even when we went to France and my parents loved it. Maybe I was too biased. But it looks like you don't love it either.
"The French Laundry"? No wonder it dropped 20 points. Even if the food were good, I'd think of eating, well, you know.
