At some point in my journeyings I ended up with a heart monitor watch from somewhere, and I can't recall where I found it. At any rate, the watch seemed to work OK, but it wouldn't pick up a signal from the pulse sensor. I looked high and low on the internet for a manual, without success - and it seems that there are others out there who are looking for the same information. As a result, I decided to put up here what I had discovered.

To replace the heart rate sensor battery:

This product was designed to obsolete itself when the battery died. There is no engineered way to open the case, but it can be done if you carefully pry it open along the seam. Once this is done, you can replace the battery, and the cover snaps closed again. I wasn't perfect, so my case has a few nicks in it along the side, but it still works.
Hope this has been useful for anyone who was searching for the original manual.
