Another Yard Sale Bites the Dust

Mogg's titanium-tipped teeth, I'm tired. Had a yard sale yesterday, spent the better part of the day lugging stuff out, watching over it and lugging it back in. The part I like most is talking with the nice people who happen by, even if some of them are the most phenomenal tightwads.



Yard-saleing ain't what it used to be. The economy has the recreational ones staying home, and most of the folks out buying are looking to get something for darn-near nothing. I'm glad I did it, I'm not unhappy with the result, but I wish things were better all around.

Now I have to see about putting some of the unsold stuff up on Craigslist and KSL.com, and dealing with the inevitable Nigerian onioburus who always make the first inquiry.

I still have a wad of DVDs and stuff that's been on EBay TWICE and stayed unsold.

One shark was sold. We still have three left, I'll see if I can eBay them.

Tragically, my Lionel O-gauge stuff went the way of the world when I was about 10 or so. Wish I knew what had happened to it. I loved the operating milk car... I would play with that little dispenser for hours.

Yeah, the economy is hard on everyone nowadays. Buyers, sellers, people like me who've been unemployed for over 10 years... And you know it's getting bad when even inflatable stripey sharks (and is that a husky I see?) have trouble finding homes!

One shark was adopted. I was surprised that more of them didn't swim away. I have plans for the husky.
