Captain Richard Phillips freed
Apr. 12th, 2009 04:13 pm... and that's the way it should be done. Navy snipers - God bless them - took out three pirates when it looked like Captain Phillips was in imminent danger - and the fourth pirate surrendered.
The news report on KSL quoted Jamac Habeb, a 30-year-old self-proclaimed pirate in one of Somalia's piracy hubs, Eyl, that, "our friends should have done more to kill the captain before they were killed. This will be a good lesson for us. From now on, if we capture foreign ships and their respective countries try to attack us, we will kill (the hostages)."
Well, Jamac, you're a moron. Three of your buddies are dead, and roasting in Hell over a slow spit. And you, and the other pieces of maggoty camel ejecta from your fly-ridden group of human detritus will get the message in the same way - a 50bmg slug through your twisted brains. Come get some!
Have a nice day.
Love,
The United States of America.
[Disclaimer: This is a very uncharacteristic post from someone who believes in a world that works for everyone, with no one left out. But the memories of 9/11, and those who would attack our nation and its sovreign citizens, are still fresh.]

Date: 2009-04-13 12:45 pm (UTC)Imagining a creative revenge helps vent anger and frustration, it serves as a release, In this sort of situation, dealing with these sort of people, terrorists, mass murderers, yes I've had those kinds of thoughts, they've let me get my anger out, but I've never had any intention or thought of actually doing them.
While venting our frustrations in such a way is fine, actually carrying out such things would lower us to their level, we should be above that. If it's necessary do it quick, get it over with, get the result, keep our morals intact. The important thing isn't the revenge, it's getting the job done with the minimum of damage, physical, mental or moral, to ourselves and our own.
Sorry, I'm not trying to lecture, just giving my view on the subject.
