It's also Towel Day in memory of DNA. I'm a hoopy enough frood to know where my towel is, but mucky enough that the place it ought to be is the laundry.
Memorial Day is a wholly more serious matter ... in the USA. We remember in November. Armistice Day and the Sunday adjoining.
