Writer's Block: Beautiful Vistas

I've been privileged in my life to visit many places in the world. A number of them have taken my breath away, so picking out the most beautiful view I've ever seen is a tough challenge. But I'll share one of my top 10:

Heiligenblut, Kärnten, Austria
A couple of others which stand out in my mind: Abu Simbel, Egypt; Zermatt, Switzerland (with the Matterhorn in the background, of course); an alleyway in Pompeii; any number of places in Paris... oh, the list goes on forever. But breathtaking beauty can be found in a tiny side-street of Venice, with vines trailing down the sides of a centuries-old building, laundry fluttering overhead, and the afternoon sun slanting down to bathe the deserted cobblestones with a sumptuous patina of gold...
*sigh*
