The other night while photographing markers for FindAGrave.com, I looked to the East and saw this spectacular moonrise over Mount Olympus in Salt Lake.
Later I drove home in my hybrid car, with my GPS showing me the best way to get around construction on a local artery, all the while listening to Rondo Veneziano on my in-car MP3 player.
Paused to take a call on the bluetooth-enabled speaker system, and marveled at the miracles of modern technology. No, we can't book easy passage to the Moon on a PanAm clipper yet... but we've got things now that our fathers and mothers couldn't even dream of. I often drift off to sleep in the evening wondering what amazing things my grandchildren will see in their lifetimes.
The world is so full of a number of things, I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings.
