It's time to have a long chat in the confessional, so I can walk around with a clear conscience.

[livejournal.com profile] bayliss posted a snippet about Sverre Hansen's memorial at Findagrave.com, and at that point the light went on.

These guys are the real deal. I had no clue.

As you may remember, I haven't had a TV for over 10 years, so I'm no longer in touch with much of popular culture, except for what I glean off the net. TV shows, however, tend to stay off my radar as more or less irrelevant.

I thought "Deadliest Catch" was just a show.

Well, my hat's off to them - what an incredible way to make a living, and to be able to deal with the fame at the same time. It all of a sudden explains the drooling. Huge respect to them!

Yeah, these Norske fiskere are impressive, and I'm a new fan.

I shall now eat some okra as penance...

He wondered how a cute blonde in a sailor suit could have been hurtled out of a tenth-floor, high-strength window in the atrium of U.S. Robotics.

Sergeant McRae interrupted his reverie by exclaiming, "Hey! Did I just see her finger move? She may still be alive!"
