While hunting around for the proper spelling of "Ketiva ve-chatima tovah", I discovered that the top 8 or 10 listings are either malware sites or have been infected by hackers.
This is what I got, including a convincing-looking animation of the progress bar:

Click on "Start Protection" and you'll get this:

which contains the malware package.
Fortunately my real virus-protector blocked any unpleasantness, but sheesh...

Date: 2009-09-21 09:00 am (UTC)There are two programs that are very effective at checking and removing malware, and the fake security trojans in particular: "Spybot" and "Malwarebytes". Don't waste time with Lavasoft's AdAware; it's not aggressive enough and overlooks a lot of commercial adware companies.
